The Court Livingston Schermerhorn Business Improvement District invited a group of artist to submit proposals for Downtown Brooklyn in 2010. It is a district that is under transition and will so be for yet some years to come.

I proposed circular neon light for the subway entrance, Hoyt-Schermerhorn visible as a circle from one location. As one moves, it transforms. The green light will announce the station and trickle down to the lower level. The white light towards the building will illuminate the otherwise darkish entrance.
